Attorney Shelton L. Marshall is a trial attorney, community leader, and advocate committed to providing exceptional legal representation while advancing justice throughout Georgia. As the Founder and Managing Attorney of The Marshall Law Firm, LLC, he represents individuals and families in personal injury, premises liability, civil litigation, and real estate matters with a focus on strategic advocacy, personal attention, and meaningful results.
Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Attorney Marshall’s commitment to service began at an early age. As the youngest of four children born to Shelby Marshall, Sr. and Peggy Marshall, he learned the importance of perseverance, responsibility, and compassion while helping care for his father, a disabled United States Navy veteran. Those early experiences shaped the values that continue to guide his legal practice today.
Attorney Marshall’s pursuit of leadership and service brought him to Atlanta, where he attended Morehouse College on a Naval ROTC Scholarship and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2008. As a Bonner Scholar, he developed a lifelong commitment to community engagement and public service. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University College of Law, where he served as President of the Black Law Students Association and 3L Class Representative while gaining practical experience through judicial, public defender, and private practice internships.
Throughout his career, Attorney Marshall has built a diverse legal background spanning government service, complex civil litigation, contracts, procurement, and private practice. His experience includes serving as an Assistant Solicitor-General for DeKalb County, Staff Attorney III for the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, federal contracts specialist for the Federal Aviation Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and associate attorney with respected Atlanta law firms.
Today, Attorney Marshall leads The Marshall Law Firm, LLC with a commitment to delivering trusted advocacy for clients navigating some of life’s most difficult circumstances. Through personal injury and premises liability litigation, he works to ensure that individuals and families have a dedicated advocate protecting their rights and pursuing the justice they deserve.
Beyond his legal practice, Attorney Marshall remains deeply committed to leadership and community service. As President of the DeKalb Lawyers Association, he continues the organization’s tradition of excellence through his vision of “Continuing the Legacy... Revitalizing the Dream,” focusing on mentorship, professional development, diversity in the legal profession, and expanding access to legal education throughout the community.
